This retrofit kit for the 04-06 R1 Tail light includes all new LED internals for the stock tail housing. The stock LEDs are removed and replaced with a new LED board containing 54 Ultra Bright RED LEDs and 44 Ultra Bright YELLOW LEDs - compared to only 12 red LEDs on the stock circuit board. The RED LEDs are dual intensity for running light and brake light. The YELLOW LEDs blink as turn signals only.

The Custom LED 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1 Integrated LED Tail Light marks the introduction of the new Brake Alert safety feature, and Strobe Mode!

Brake Alert automatically provides three quick strobes of light the instant the brakes are applied. This alerts motorists the instant you apply the brakes - possibly saving seconds of reaction time for non alert motorists!

Strobe Mode is a feature that puts the tail light into a devastating strobe cycle that is sure to get anyone's attention. This mode produces insanely bright pulses of light at ultra high frequencies, in alternating patterns across the tail light. Strobe mode is engaged by grounding a control wire, and can be engaged at any time.

Blaster-X technology. This technology squeezes the maximum possible illuminance power out of LEDs. The result is a significantly less expensive, yet even more outstanding and effective product than it's predecessors. It also allows for the use of less LEDs, thereby maintaining the factory light distribution which was previously not possible.

The brightness of this unit is amazing, but on a motorcycle there's no such thing as too bright. This is the brightest tail light kit your $$$ can buy. Not only does this kit allow you to clean up the tail section of your R1 by eliminating the need for the stock blinker stalks, but it also makes a lasting impression on anyone who sees it in action.

Modification of your stock tail light is required for installation! You must rewire your tail light, brake light, and turn signals after installing the kit to the modified tail light assembly! It's a lot easier than it sounds.
