Description   NEW! BMC Race or Street Air Filter for the 1998-2001 Yamaha R1! The BMC Race Filter allows for higher flow and may require a custom mapped Fuel Injection Module. BMC filtering material is composed of a special cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.  The supporting alloy mesh is coated with epoxy to ensure protection from petrol fumes and oxidization due to the humidity of the air. BMC air filters are washable and reusable with the appropriate BMC washing kit, it is recommended a periodical maintenance.
